This love story begins on May 3, 2019, at the Loews Hotel in Hollywood, CA. The Loews was special to Irie as she would often frequent the hotel with her now deceased older cousin, and felt a strong urge to revisit that night with her friend. Joel had attended the annual music conference at the Loews years past. He didn't need to attend this year but for some reason he felt a strong desire to attend this night and brought his producer friends.

At the bar of the hotel conference, Joel's friend approached the ladies for a drink. Joel being too shy to talk to them, his friend said to Irie: This is the guy you need to meet, Bankroll Got It.

Joel eventually moved to Los Angeles to pursue music full time, but unfortunately Irie had moved back to Vegas to pursue modeling. They remained friends and stayed in close contact until the end of 2020. Both began to fall in love with each other, but were hesitant to make the commitment due to the nature of the entertainment industry.

Despite their hesitations, by early 2021 they were inseparable. They began dating exclusively and made it official in June 2021.

Throughout the next 2 years, their love grew stronger, and they proved to themselves one can be successful in the music business while being in a committed loving relationship.

In December 2023, Joel took Irie to their favorite place: Miami, where he got down on one knee and proposed to the love of his life.
